Printer offline means the computer cannot communicate with the printer presently. The printer may be on and ready, but the system cannot deliver print jobs to it because the link is disrupted or broken. Usually, this problem stems from issues with the network, unplugged cables, old drivers, or program bugs. Most often, it is not the hardware that has failed but a temporary communication fault. The printer can be linked physically or by Wi-Fi, but if the system does not detect it correctly, it will label it as offline and will not carry out any printing tasks.
