My 330i is due for a major service and I've been putting off booking because I keep going back and forth on where to take it. The dealer is the safe option but the quote was genuinely painful, and the independent I used before was fine for oil changes but I wouldn't trust them with anything more involved. A guy at work mentioned Royal Prince Auto Care BMW service and said he's been taking his X5 there for a couple of years without issues, which is a decent endorsement, but I wanted to see if anyone else here has experience with them. Specifically I'm curious whether they use genuine parts and whether they're upfront about what actually needs doing versus what can wait. I don't want to be upsold on a bunch of stuff I don't need. If you've used them, how was the communication and did the final bill match the quote?
